Clean as a Whistle

After three showers we're clean! We would like to give great thanks to all of our shower hosts and guests - you have all been wonderful and we have enjoyed all the love and time you have given us. From Aunts to Sisters to Parents you have all been truly too kind and generous.

I also attended my first wedding shower. We had a great time playing Shelly Trivia, trying on shoes, and drying our nails. I can see why women keep these so secret and hush hush!

We are now down to less than two months to the wedding and the final planning is underway. That means that if you are one of the few that have yet to respond to our invitation we encourage you to get it in right away. If you wait too much longer you might be giving up your seat!

Look for more updates as we get closer. Until then enjoy the spring!

Cultured

The path to a marraige should be lined with important things. One of them is certainly culture. So, it was time to get some culture before May 25th. Shelly, Toni, and I headed off to the Smithsonian Portriature Gallery. Here were are with the prize of the gallery. This was the only piece that gathered a gawking crowd. Okay, this really doesn't have anything to do with the wedding or wedding details but I still found it worth posting.

India

As many of you know, Shelly is in India now. She is there shopping, shopping, shopping, visiting family, and shopping. There are so many things to get for the wedding so Shelly, her dad, and friend Michelle are all there taking care of so much. Lots of clothes have been bought, invitations are printed, and things are coming together.

There has been so much fun and adventure in all of this. Okay, there have been some tough spots too, but when you step back and look it is shaping up to be a wonderful and beautiful day. More importantly, the path to get there has been a fun learning experience in the pursuit of true diversity. We have so many beautiful, giving, and talented friends that are helping us make this day a true blend of Shelly and me - which turns out to be an Indian, Slovak, Japanese, Italian, Buddhist, Hindu, Detroit, DC, Midwest celebration for all of us. I'm not saying it will be unique in all the world but if you know of a similar event, can you get me on the guest list?

It's not too early to polish up your dancin shoes.
